Outreach and Ministry Opportunities
From time to time, various needs in our community and churches are brought to the attention of the league officers. During these times the league has worked in conjunction with local churches to do fundraisers, food and clothing drives, as well as other service projects to help those in need and share the love of Christ. If you know of a need that you would like to make known to the league that we can pray for or consider helping in other ways, please email president@smafl.com or vicepresident@smafl.com.

SMAFL County Softball Team
In the Spring of 2008, the SMAFL has put together a special team that is going to play in the Charles County softball league as an outreach to the players in that league. Many SMAFL players already play on other teams in the county league and are great witnesses. We hope, that with this team, we can continue show that good, Christian men can be competitive players while also maintaining good attitudes and a good Christian testimony. Please keep this team in prayer as there will most assuredly be trials and temptations throughout the year as we launch this new endeavor. Sponsorship has graciously been provided by Dave's Discount Carpet and Positive Graphics to help get this vision off the ground. The team will be playing on Thursday nights and will be competing in the upcoming Early Bird Tournament on April 5-6, 2008. Check back for updates and information.

County Team Update
The SMAFL County Team did an excellent job on Saturday, April 5. The team finished 3-1 in a round-robin format to enter the double-elimination tournament as one of the top seeds. The 2nd day of the tournament was postponed due to rain and is currently scheduled to be continued on Saturday, April 12. Not only has the team performed well but their attitudes and testimony have been great as well. Check back for updates on how the team is doing and a schedule in case you'd like to come out and cheer them on.
